How do I get the Autosaved files back?

I am working on a shared project with SVN as source control.  This evening my PC crashed and I wasn't too devastated because I know CaseComplete autosaves files... right?  To my horror I have found on restarting and opening the project that all my changes are GONE.   How then do these autosave files work and how can I recover if my PC dies again?

Yes, CaseComplete saves your files every five minutes. To recover your data from the autosave files, do this:

  1.  Exit CaseComplete
  2. Using Windows Explorer, rename the file that is missing your data. For example change myFile.ucd to myFile.Backup.ucd
  3. Rename the autosaved version of the file. For example, rename myFile.ucd.autosave to myFile.ucd
  4. Open your project as usual using CaseComplete to see if your changes are present

Could that be a feature request? For example CaseComplete check at startup whether or not a newer datestamped autosave file is present and then asking if that should be opened instead of the older ucd file?  It would save a bit of confusion and potentially lost changes.
