Add User Stories as a tab on CC

User Stories are an extremely popular construct in our projects and seem to be an obvious missing element in CC.  I would have it be a key object in the product and would look a lot like the Use Case tool.  Ultimately, you should be able to link Use Cases to User Stories and Requirements to Use Cases.  In some instances, projects might even skip the Use Cases completely (I know, horrible) and develop from the stories with related requirements.

While this isn't supported right now, we can fudge just a little bit and use one of the existing elements now. What others have done in the past is add a series of requirements of type “story” and reference them from use cases, other requirements, etc. as necessary.

Then using the filtering feature in CC2013, you can create and save a filter tab (on requirements, type "story"), so you can view them all together as you would for any other element's tabbed view.

This may be a bit of a philosophical issue. Since - at least the way I look at it - use cases are closer in character to being micro" parts of user stories, I used the Use Case element and created a Type called a Story. Do you feel that by doing this that I am completely missing the point of the User Story?

User Stories are now supported in CaseComplete 2014. As far as linking between stories and other items goes, this is accomplished via ID links, so for example, you can reference a story from a use case just by typing its ID, e.g. S-123, and it will automatically create a hyperlink. In the same manner, stories can reference other items. While the references aren't shown in the details form as they are for use case/requirements references, they can be reported on in a custom Word report by using the ReferencedStories keyword (see the reporting user guide for details).
