use multiple cores

when generating a complex report, I noted that CPU load is exactly 25%, on a quadcore computer - which seems to indicate that CaseComplete uses only a single core. Wouldn't it speed up report generation if all that XML processing ran on multiple cores in parallel?

Hey Bernd,

That's correct - the way CaseComplete is written, it will only use a single processor core. To the best of my knowledge, we don't have any plans to implement multi-core CPU support, but I've marked this down as a requested feature so we can evaluate getting that into the software.

We understand, though, and realize that report generation can take a while. That's why we initially added the support for command-line report generation - this way, you can kick off a report before leaving work for the day, or even schedule an unattended task to create the report for you:

Thanks for the suggestion, Bernd! Again, we'll look into it.

Hi Jason,

thanks for pointing out command line report generation - which I am happily using all the time.

However, in our current setup I need to import some values from an Excel sheet into the model, before generating the report, so I can't do command line reporting. If only CaseComplete supported command-line import, as requested in another posting of mine ...
