Recent Projects "disappeared"

Hi!

Is there a simple explanation as to why the Recent Projects list (on the start page) would be "cleared" (i.e., empty) other than the projects having been deleted manually? Is this list tied to a file or an entry in a file?

One of my analysts opened CC, and none of her recent projects were available, either in the popup or in the lists, and she has no idea how it happened.

Is there a way that ALL the projects in the lists can be removed in a single action?

Hi Tom,

Yep - that recent projects list on CaseComplete's start page is definitely tied to some information in a settings file, located in the specific user's AppData folder. In addition to the recent projects list, the file stores things like customized window sizes, what dictionary language you're using, auto-save settings, etc.

I'm not sure why the recent projects list would have changed, but it could be tied to the user name (since the file is stored specifically per user). If you're using roaming user profiles or the analyst changed user names or anything, that could explain the list being cleared.

Not having much success tracking down the target file on Windows 7. Can you be more specific as to where the target files should be on W7 and XP?

Jason,

I need your help!!

The user who was having this issue restored all the projects in her list yesterday, and she says they have all disappeared again today. Is it possible that she needed to do a "save all" before exiting CC, and that caused them to disappear again?

Personally, I have never seen this, and I don't get it.

I'm trying to push my people to use CC more regularly (religiously), and I need to be able to remove all the "obstacles" that they keep encountering (or creating).

I'd appreciate your assistance.
