Question regarding Notes in requirements documents

Two parts to this question.

The basic issue is the bullet character which appears when i use $listNotes.  It does not match anything else in the document, and I have experienced this before when using this keyword.

The syntax I used was:

  • $listNotes

In order to mitigate this issue, I was attempting to use $listNotes along with an attribute (e.g., $Name, $Description) preceded by a bullet character or $repeatNotes, but neither seemed to work.  Is this a limitation of the product (CaseComplete or Word) or do I not know how to use them properly?

I have also had issues when including CaseComplete attributes in conditional statements, where, once again, the font does not match.  This seems to occur when combining $Name with $Description.

Anyone have any experience or advice to offer?

Thanks!

Hi Tom,

One thing you might want to check into is whether the style of the paragraph is overriding the bullet style.  Try this: click anywhere in the  bulleted $listNotes line, then apply the Normal or Normal (no spacing) style.  This will make the bullet go away.  Then reapply the bullet using the desired character.

Could be the same thing for your second issue, but kind of hard to say.  Might also be that the description in CaseComplete for the item in question isn't using a standard font, e.g. if you pasted from Word.  Feel free to open a support ticket and send us your template and an example of the incorrect results.  That will make it easier for us to diagnose the problem.
