total noob question about diagrams

I cannot find this in the help/documentation. I am writing a User Interface model diagram. I want to represent a grid. It does not need to look like a screen. But I do need some kind of table with rows and columns. I tried to do this with formatted html, but there is limited support for the table tags it seems. In basic shapes, there is a table shape but seems to represent just one cell. How do people represent grids and/or tables in their models?

I know this is really basic. But I am Brand New evaluating this product. I appreciate the help.

CaseComplete doesn't currently have a pre-made table / grid of the type you're looking for. What you can do is build a custom table on your diagram by grouping shapes (such as rectangles) together.

In order to build a table (or grid), drag a base shape - the rectangle, for example - onto your diagram and edit it to your liking as far as size, style, etc. go. This shape will form the basis of your grid. You can then right-click and Copy / Paste as many of these rectangles as you need to build a row and/or a column for your grid.

Once you have the shapes for your row or column aligned, select them all and right-click, then click Group. You can then move, Copy / Paste and resize your row (or column) in the same manner you did with the individual rectangles. If need be, you can also group the final number rows / columns together, and move the grid (essentially a collection of rectangles) and resize as a whole.

it would be a nice thing to add!  I wanted one too but had to make up my own table when doing a screen mockup

I've taken the liberty of adding this request to our feature request backlog so the development team can look into implementing it in future releases. Thanks everyone, for your input!
