Can I change the column names within the Issues Tab?

I am attempting to create a column which I can name so that we can identify which issues are to be brought up by our external source (customer) and or our internal source (PM).  Can this be done and if so where do I find the steps or please provide me the how to steps?

Issues don't support custom fields, but you could create issue types as, for example, "IssueExt" and "IssueInt"

You can customize issue types by clicking the tools tab, then "built in fields.' Choose the "Issues" radio button and select "Type" to load the edit box with the currently-defined issue types. Add/change/delete as you like and click OK. Those types will then show up in the Issue dialog box's dropdown.

Alternatively, you could use the "External Reference" field to indicate the source of issues.

Hope this helps!

p.s. to change the fields you see in the issues tab, right-mouse click the heading section of that pane and select "choose columns"

Hi Ron,

That's alright for the "Built-In fields" feature but is it possible to create a new section within a template (use case, requirement) such as we have for "Issue" or "Note"?

Thank you,

Farid

As it turns out, Farid, customizing the use case, requirement, etc. details windows isn't currently supported. About the closest you can get is to make one or more custom fields to display for each item.

To create custom fields, click Tools / Custom Fields on the ribbon bar, then select which of the available item(s) you'd like to set up custom fields for.
