Diagramming question - set actors to custom shape

Hi,

I have set up a custom shape library containing a few images. When I am diagramming I know that when I right-click on an 'Actor' within the "Project Browser" panel and then drag that across to my diagram and then release, CC presents and allows me to choose an alternate shape for the Actor......however the only shapes available to me are the default ones supplied by CC and not my custom shapes.

Is there any way that I can have my custom shapes available in this situation?  Is it possible for me to somehow add my custom shapes into the default shape library?

Thanks

Adam

Hi Adam,

The official answer is that there is no way to do this.  Something that we can look into providing in a future release though.  The unofficial answer is that if you overwrite the actor shapes library that gets installed with CaseComplete (UCActorsLibrary.nlx in the CaseComplete ShapeLibrary folder under program files) and replace it with one that includes your custom shapes, CaseComplete *should* pick them up.  Standard caveats apply - this is unsupported so no guarantees.  In addition, writing to the program files folder is discouraged in general and if you're running Vista or Win 7 you'll have to get past the UAC warnings.

Update for anyone who comes across this question: we now show custom actor shapes in the popup menu starting with release 2011 (and you no longer need to right click / drag to activate the popup menu, a regular left click / drag is sufficient).
