Could not open macro storage

When attempting to run report templates acquired through an internet source on a computer running Office 2010 or later, you may receive a "Could not open macro storage" error during report generation.

MacroStorageError

This error is caused by some of the built-in protection in newer versions of Office. When documents are detected as having originated from an internet location, Office automatically protects against potential threats by opening the document in a read-only mode, called Protected View, by default.

To clear Protected View from your report template, navigate to where you saved the template using Windows Explorer, and double-click to open it. Then click on the Enable Editing button in the upper-right hand corner of the document.

EnableEditing

You can now close your report template and it will function normally from within CaseComplete.
