Setting properties for multiple items

You can use the properties window to update a property for multiple items at one time. For example, you can set the value of Assigned To for a group of use cases without having to enter it for each use case separately.

  1. Click on the tab that holds the items you wish to modify.
  2. Make sure you're in "Details View" mode: from the View tab in the ribbon select Details View.
  3. Select the items you wish to modify.  You can select multiple individual items by pressing and holding Ctrl as you click, or you can select a range of items by pressing Shift as you click.
  4. Enter a value for the property you want to change in the properties window. All selected items will be assigned that value.

Notes:

The properties window only shows the value of a property if all selected items share the same value, otherwise, it will be blank. For example, if you select two use cases that have difference complexity values, the complexity property will be empty. If you then enter a new value it will show since both use cases now have the same value.
